Problem
Blondelish needed a website to show off her cooking skills, so we quickly designed one. But we soon encountered one of the main issues with sites in that niche: they are content-heavy, which makes them annoyingly slow.
Moreover, one of the main sources of revenue for this type of websites are display ads, which slow them down even further.
Another issue which most food bloggers are struggling with is getting traffic to their website. The competition in that niche is fierce and getting traffic to their website is no easy task.
So we had to come up with solutions to make a content-heavy website fast, implement ads that don't slow down the site, and optimize the content to drive traffic to her website from search engines.

Solution
We designed a simple yet beautiful website for her, and we've made certain optimizations which saw the download speed decrease from over 8sec to less than 4 on desktop, and from over 10 sec to less than 7 on mobile.
And we are talking about the fully loaded page here. Blondelish's TTFB (time to first byte) is less than 200ms on desktop and under 1 sec on mobile.
To get a better idea of our achievement, keep in mind that websites in that niche have an average TTFB of 1.6 sec on mobile.
And that's not all...
This speed was measured after implementing ads, which, as said before, slow down websites dramatically.
We also handled their social media advertising and grew their following to more than 70000 followers combined.
Moreover, we've optimized it for SEO with targeted keyword analysis and implementation and saw it grow from 0 to 80000 unique monthly views.

Impact
The result is a beautiful fast website that grows in traffic month over month. A fast website is not just great for the user but also for ranking on Google, which, in turn, brings even more traffic.
Blondelish grew from 0 to 80000 unique monthly views, from 0 to more than 70000 followers and from 0 to more than $700/month just in ads revenue.
